ALWAYS HAPPY HOUR
316 N. Milwaukee St., Ste. 101 , 414-431-8555
www.alwayshappyhour.com

This month, we are featuring a newer business to the Third Ward, “Always Happy Hour,” located in the Landmark Building ( 316 N. Milwaukee St ). Co-owners Andy S & Brian B started their business in June 2004, as a web-based retail store. “We always said that our dream would be to have a brick & mortar store located in the Third Ward…we moved into our store in January 2005.”

The store offers a wide variety of barware, drinkware, gift items and some food items, all with an alcohol or happy hour entertaining theme. New items are added to their store and website weekly, and to be sure, they do get some unusual requests! “We've been quoting the Hard Rock hotel chain on our unbreakable cocktail shakers with lids attached by a small chain; they say their bartenders are always losing the tops to their martini shakers. We've also sold our neon cocktail serving trays to a magician in California .”

These new business owners and members have become very familiar with their community. When asked if they had a favorite Third Ward shop or restaurant, “One? Only one?” The list of favorites was too long to list!

OFFICIAL Store Grand Opening PARTY during Gallery Night

Hey everyone! Help us celebrate our OFFICIAL Store Grand Opening PARTY for Always Happy Hour.
In the lobby of the Landmark Building, and in our store in the Historic Third Ward. During Gallery Night, Friday April 15th, 5 to 10pm. We - and our landlord James Kadditz - are sponsoring shows in our combined shop by two artists: glass designer Dennis Shaffer from Chicago, plus glass photographs by Amy Schmutte of Milwaukee.

Gallery Night festivities include complimentary adult beverages and snacks, with modern lounge music provided by our good friend DJ John Murges. Remember those great sounds from our web launch party in November!

Artist Dennis Shaffer of Chicago IL invents amazing colored art glass objects utilizing the skills of Eastern European craftsmen. Bowls, vases, platters, stemware, sculptures and other pieces both functional and decorative... on display and available for sale!

The exhibit will also be open Saturday April 16th, 12 to 10pm, for those of you who just can't make it on Friday night (but Friday night will DEFINITELY be more fun....)

Always Happy Hour is now located at 316 N Milwaukee St #101, Milwaukee WI 53202, in the lobby of the Landmark Building next to 4 star restaurant Coquette CafĂ©, in Milwaukee’s Historic Third Ward District, just south of the intersection of Milwaukee & St Paul, just around the corner from the new Milwaukee Public Market currently under construction.

Free parking is always available in the lot behind our building daily after 5PM, and Free Gallery Night parking and Free Gallery Night Express shuttle bus service is just 1 block south of us at the Third Ward parking garage at the corner of Milwaukee & Chicago streets (diagonal across from Bella Cafe)

Always Happy Hour - The Store

Now open in Milwaukee's Historic Third Ward....Always Happy Hour - The Store! Located in the first floor lobby of the beautiful Landmark Building next to Coquette Cafe, at 316 N Milwaukee St just south of St Paul Ave, we're open afternoons and evenings on Tuesdays thru Saturdays for browsing. Stop in to see all the latest in uncommon barware and drinkware. Look for the Coquette sign on the building and the Always Happy Hour sidewalk sign located out front.

Plenty of free parking is available after 5PM daily behind the building in our large lot, just around the block, look for the "Landmark Building" awning and the Coquette sign over the back door.

The Landmark Bulding was originally designed and built by Schnetzky and Sons in 1914 as the headquarters for Standard Paper Co. Recently renovated and now on the National Register of Historic Places, it features original brick exteriors, leaded glass entry doors, 14 foot ceilings supported by massive ornate columns, intricate chandeliers in the lobby, terrazo and ceramic tile floors, and of course Always Happy Hour - The Store!
